Bayside Glass

bay·side

noun

  1. the land alongside the shore of a bay.

Bayside is a series of sculptural works and vessels inspired by the gulf shores of southern Alabama. Like the play of light on water, the push and pull of the ocean tides, these forms reflect an ever-changing rhythm of color and pattern.

Nocturnes

noc·turne

noun

  1. a composition suggestive of night, usually of a quiet, meditative character.

Part of the Bayside series, nocturnes are contemplative works inspired by the night skies.  As the series has developed, surface treatment has become an integral part of the work.

bar·na·cle

noun

  1. a marine crustacean with an external shell, which attaches itself permanently to a variety of surfaces.

Barnacles

Rose Barnacles

A frequent component of the bayside series, the barnacle is a symbol of resilience and permanence.
